Painting and Drawing ll

(Grades 10-12, By department approval; 1/3 credit)

This course expands upon the fundamental theory and practices of art as explored in Painting and Drawing. Material under study in Painting and Drawing is built upon, as students are introduced to more advanced concepts. All media are available, including tempera, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, ink, and pencil. Students are encouraged to take a corrective approach to their work and to practice vocabulary surrounding visual dialogue as they engage in critique.


Independent Study: Painting and Drawing

(Grades 10-12, By department approval; 1/3 credit)

Students develop, with their teacher, projects designed to address their individual needs and interests in one of the following: Ceramics, Painting/Drawing or Photography.
